Israeli & Japanese business leaders team up on AI-powered Industry 4.0

Israeli tech entrepreneur Ran Poliakine has reportedly teamed up with the Japanese industry leader and Chief of Musashi Seimitsu Corporation, Hiroshi Otsuka, to develop artificial intelligence technologies that would digitize manufacturing process and usher in Industry 4.0. As per trusted sources, the collaboration agreement was signed at the Economy Summit held in Jerusalem in the presence of Ministers of Economy of Israel and Japan.

Israeli Minister of Economy and Industry, Eli Cohen was reportedly quoted saying that collaboration with the very best of innovation and technology from forward-thinking firms in Japan and Israel ensures fast acceleration toward the dawn of a very exciting new technological era. Cohen further added that Industry 4.0 signifies the fourth technology revolution and presents the smart factory: a new space of pathbreaking innovation similar to the internet revolution and steered by AI where machines are cooperating and communicating with each other and humans in real-time.

According to a report by The Times of Israel, Ron Poliakine has set up a number of firms including Illumigyn, which utilizes high-grade imaging technology to manufacture a device that assists gynecologists to better identify and treat cervical cancer. Founder of the Jerusalem-based Poliakine Innovation, Ron has also established other companies such as Powermat Technologies, nanoX Technology, and Wellsense Technologies using a team of experts in the fields of physics, mathematics, engineering, and artificial intelligence.

Reportedly, Poliakine Innovation will develop solutions to disrupt production and manufacturing domains, hence providing an efficient environment that will improve the global value chain. People with the knowledge of the matter claim that the new partners would also engage in the mutual development of an Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) for Industrial usage.

For the record, Musashi Seimitsu Corporation is partly owned by Honda Motor Company and is regarded as a global leader in manufacturing power train parts.
