Pizza Hut has reportedly made plans to introduce beer delivery services at nearly 300 locations in the United States by mid-January and to 700 more stores by the summer this year. Now pizza lovers across Florida, Nebraska, Iowa, Ohio, North Carolina, Arizona, and California can have beer delivered to their doorsteps.

As per trusted sources, Pizza Hut began testing this service back in 2017 in Phoenix. Customers could order crates of Budweiser, Shock Top, Bud Light or local brands like Kilt Lifter delivered to them in a custom cooler. The company  expanded beer deliveries to more than 100 locations throughout California and Arizona in last spring.

Pizza Hut claimed that its latest announcement is perfectly timed ahead of Super Bowl LIII since several American consumers commonly serve pizza and beer at the watch parties.

Nicolas Burquier, Chief Customer & Operations Officer of Pizza Hut, was quoted saying that delivering beer is a game-changing lever that the company will continue pulling, so that it can deliver oven-hot pizzas with a pack of cold beer to customers feasting and watching their favorite teams.

For years, Pizza Hut has surpassed sales of competitors like Papa John’s, Domino’s, and Little Caesars, however, last year the company was outpaced by Domino’s for the first time, cite trusted sources. Besides Pizza Hut, Papa John’s is the only other pizza chain that’s been delivering beer with pizzas, the company ran a test program for the same last spring, cited credible sources.

According to a news report by CNN Business, a wide range of beers including brands like Bud Light, Blue Moon, and Corona Extra are presently available for order. Furthermore, to avoid serving underage customers, Pizza Hut employees will request IDs before finalizing a delivery.

Marianne Radley, Chief Brand Officer of Pizza Hut, said in a statement that the expanded beer service has received positive responses from customers, which is a big driving force behind this service.
